Featured Event

Justin Adams & Juldeh Camara + David Walters

The floor-filling double bill opens with Martinique-born, Marseillebased singer and guitarist David Walters - an unmissable one-man musicalbox who combines funk, soul, acoustic world and electronic beats.

Justin Adams and Juldeh Camara perform raw and gutsy Afro-Blues that have set stages on fire from the tents of Womad to the Royal Festival Hall. Seasoned by work with Robert Plant and Tinariwen, Adams' driving guitar finds a perfect match in West African master musician Juldeh Camara's hypnotic ritti (African fiddle) and powerful voice.

Their album Soul Science was picked as both fRoots and Songlines 2007 top 10 albums of the year, and was nominated for the Radio 3 World Music Awards. As a live act, they invoke the spirit of ancient juju rock 'n' roll.
